I have been blessed with the two best sisters anyone could wish for, we have always been incredibly close and supportive of each other.  My nearest sister (in both age and geography) has always been very enthusiastic about this blog, and has often mentioned how she loves when I personalise the posts, mentioning different family events and occasions.  She told me that when the blog started that I sounded like quite the alcholic!! (not bad for someone who has about two drinks a week!)

It is with the heaviest possible heart that I speak about her recent death in this post - she was such a huge part of my life that this tragic event cannot go unmentioned.  She was always the most generous of people and even at this time she has given me the most precious of gifts - to be allowed to share in the care and nurturing of her three wonderful young children - they were the center of her world, and I just hope I can do half as good a job as she would have.

My heart goes out to you and your family - I know how devastating loss can be. You will feel better little by little and your dear sister is always with you in your heart.
I'm certain you will do a fabulous job helping to nurture her children, you have so much shared knowledge with your sister.

Oh pet I cannot believe that I come to your blog to read this sad news. You are in my thoughts and prayers right now. Unfortunately I know what it's like to lose someone so close so I know that there are few if any words that might ease the pain.
But your post remembering her is perfect.

Dear Brownieville Girl. I have been absent, so I hope you will forgive my belated comment.

I am so sorry for your loss. I haven't any siblings, so cannot truly envisage the pain and sorrow you must be experiencing right now.

I imagine there are little quirks of your sister in yourself, in your other sister, and of course in her three precious children. She will always be in your hearts of course, but yes, in little moments of everyday, you will 'see' her in yourselves. May the coming months be a time that brings your whole family even closer together and stronger still.

Sending (((HUGS))) with my condolences.
Love
Coby

Thank you all so much - your kind words really do help (especially when sleep eludes me!)

Her eldest son paid me a huge compliment today - he told me that I was just like his Mum (not that he intended it as a compliment, I was telling him to ease up on the sweets at the time!!!)
